The EFRWP Foundation is a non-governmental organisation working for the development of the Polish countryside. It was established in 1990 by virtue of an agreement between the Polish government and the European Economic Area.
Current activities of the Foundation are based on three pillars:
Subsidised loans and credit facilities for the development of technical and social infrastructure of rural areas and support for the development of small and medium enterprises
Educational projects and social programmes addressed to local communities
Development Initiatives Forum (DIF) which develops solutions and positions relevant for the development of rural areas and agriculture across the European Union (preparation of research projects, analyses, reports and scientific studies, organisation of conferences and debates on the future of rural areas)
The European Agricultural Forum is organised by the European Fund for the Development of Polish Villages in cooperation with Agro Promotion and the University of Life Sciences in Poznań.
