Ammongas
Ammongas is a Danish producer of environmental facilities such as biogas upgrading, biomethane production, biomethane polishing for liquefaction, carbon capture and CO2 liquefaction, providing turnkey solution: design, production, installation and maintenance. Established in 2002 Ammongas has built more than 40 plants in Northern Europe and the US. Today, appr. 50 % of the biomethane in the Danish National gas grid comes from Ammongas plants.
The upgrading technique uses amine to separate the CO2 and H2S from the biogas to deliver biomethane. Over the years Ammongas’ amine upgrading system has become the most widely deployed upgrading technology in Denmark, as the system achieves a conversion rate of over 99%, essentially delivering more biomethane at less cost.
European Energy produces e-methanol at the first in the world large scale commercial plant Kasso, using liquid bio-CO2, produced by Ammongas technology.
