Gospodarstwo Rolno – Hodowlane Żydowo Sp. z o. o.
Gospodarstwo Rolno - Hodowlane Żydowo Sp. z o. o. was established on 1 January 1994 and manages on the area of 6300 ha. Its main activity is crop production and breeding of dairy cattle and berrichon du cher breed sheep.
The Polish Holstein-Friesian breed of cattle is 3158, including 1300 dairy cows with an average yield of 13,277 kg of milk. The main objective of breeding work is genetic progress in terms of milk yield and functional traits. Breeding is carried out on the basis of modern improvement methods: individual mating, genomic evaluation of breeding value, embryotransfer.
The company also breeds berrichon du cher sheep. The main objective of the breeding work carried out is to improve the flock in order to sell breeding material with the highest genetic parameters.
The Stallion Stud in Gniezno, attached to the company, disposes of 15 stallions of the following breeds: wlkp and sp of the highest breeding value intended for mating.
