National Veterinary Research Institute
The National Veterinary Research Institute is one of the most advanced veterinary research facilities in Europe and the world. Laboratories are certified by the Polish Centre for Accreditation to meet the most stringent safety standards. Among them are Reference Laboratories for infectious and invasive animal disease diagnosis and for the detection of harmful substances in food and animal feed. The outcomes of research conducted in the Institute are accepted for publication in international journals, and NVRI scientists are experts on many committees and in many global organisations. The Institute organises national and international conferences of veterinary science, and provides education for veterinarians to become specialists. The Institute evaluates veterinary drug dossiers and prepares expert assessments and opinions for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and for the Veterinary Inspectorate. It also conducts contract research to the highest standards.
