The main idea of the Institute is to develop and implement innovative solutions for the development of agriculture and bioeconomy. Acting within the scope of its competences, the Institute shares knowledge and provides services to the public at large, agricultural institutions, biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies, operators in the textiles, energy, packaging, transport, building and construction sectors and the wider bioeconomy.

The Institute conducts research, development and implementation activities in the area of the cultivation, processing and use of fibre crops and medicinal plants and natural protein fibres for the development of sustainable agriculture and innovative bioeconomy in line with the principles of climate change prevention in the spirit of ensuring the health and quality of life of the public and farm economics.
