The Agricultural Social Insurance Fund
The Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS) is one of the national institutions of government administration, operating the social security system for farmers and their families and performing other tasks financed from the state budget for the farmers. KRUS's statutory tasks include activities to prevent accidents at agricultural work and agricultural occupational diseases. Thanks to the prevention activities of KRUS, including the implementation of the international preventive strategy "Vision Zero", the number of accidents in agriculture has decreased by more than 80% since the 1990s. The organisational structure of KRUS consists of the Headquarters, 16 regional branches and 256 local offices.
